Congress passes the second (foreign) stimulus bill

Published

on

By now you have probably heard that the second stimulus bill has been passed in congress. You can read the 5,593-page monster here. But, this is absolutely nothing to get excited about. We are going to make a case as to why you need to evaluate your civic duty and vote. This is also a case for Presidential line-item veto authority.

The provision includes $600 dollars cash for those who qualified in the last round plus couples who include an immigrant without a Green Card would also qualify for the checks, a provision that is retroactive to the CARES Act, the summary said. But, with only half of the original $1,200 at $600; the estimated total for this direct relief is $96,000,000,000 (Billion) of the total $900,000,000,000 (Billion) going to the American people directly. This means that less than 3% (Yes, you read that right. Less than three percent) of the entire second stimulus package is going into the direct hands of the American people.

On the other hand our politicians see no problem with carving out $1,300,000,000 for Egypt, $700,000,000 for Sudan, $453,000,000 for Ukraine, $500,000,000 for Isreal, $130,000,000 for Nepal, $135,000,000 for Burma, $85,500,000 for Cambodia, $25,000,000 for Pakistan, and a whopping $1,400,000,000 for Asia R.I.A. That totals to $4,593,500,000 (Billion) or .51% on, “stabilization, humanitarian efforts, protection of religious minorities, diplomatic programs, economic support fund, nonproliferation, Anti-terrorism, demining and related programs’’.

All you need to know about the new stimulus bill

This bill needs to be amended to remove the wasteful items and increase the direct payouts to Americans IF our tyrannical lock downs continue. The best option would be to open up completely and allow for our citizens to make the best decisions to protect themselves.
