Why Southern Evangelicals should stop praising Israel

Ever since the creation of the State of Israel in 1948, Conservatives and those on the Right, especially those South of the Mason-Dixon Line, have increasingly become more Pro-Israel and Zionist by the day. In this article, I will explain why it is necessary for Southern Evangelical right-wingers and even those outside of the former Confederacy to understand that Israel is not your friend, and actually oppresses Christians and opposes Christianity in all its forms.
Christians should oppose Zionism
It is imperative that Christians do not look for a worldly Jerusalem to celebrate, but a heavenly Jerusalem, the new Jerusalem that will be physically revealed after the destruction of the worldly Jerusalem and everything else. As the Hesychius of Jerusalem put it:
“At first you will see prayer as a ladder, then as a book which you read, and finally, as you advance further and further, you will see it as the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the King of Hosts, Who is together with His Father — with Whom He is of one Essence — and with the venerable Holy Spirit.”
It also should be noted that the true Israel would be found in the Believers of Christ, not of the Jews or Israelis in the modern-day State of Israel, as can be found in Galatians 3:29:
“And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.”
And since the offspring of Abraham are automatically Israel in the literal sense of the etymology of the word “Israel” meaning “Triumphant with God” or “God rules”, then there is no substantiated reason for the existence of a nation-state called Israel according to the truth, which is Christian theology
Do Jews even respect Christians?
The simple answer is no, the long answer is only Jews that have converted to Christianity, so in effect, no religious Jew can truly and faithfully respect a Christian. Why have I made this bold assumption? Because there are not only popular anti-Christian passages in Jewish liturgy, like Jesus in the Talmud, for example, is Sanhedrin 43a:20-22:
“And a crier went out before him for forty days, publicly proclaiming: Jesus the Nazarene is going out to be stoned because he practiced sorcery, incited people to idol worship, and led the Jewish people astray. Anyone who knows of a reason to acquit him should come forward and teach it on his behalf. And the court did not find a reason to acquit him, and so they stoned him and hung his corpse on Passover eve.”
This verse tells of a story, written as historical truth, of a man saying that Jesus Christ was ‘hanged for sorcery’ and ‘inciting idol worship’ and ‘leading the Jews astray’. All of this is contrary to the Christian truth that Jesus Christ was crucified by the Romans and temporarily died on the cross there after a few hours.
Also, the Talmudic Book of Gittin, which is to record the words of Jewish sages who practiced necromancy to bring back those from the dead, says that Jesus Christ is punished in ‘boiling in his excrement’, this directly relates to Gittin 57a:3-4:
“Onkelos said to him: What is the punishment of that man, a euphemism for Jesus himself, in the next world? Jesus said to him: He is punished with boiling excrement. As the Master said: Anyone who mocks the words of the Sages will be sentenced to boiling excrement. And this was his sin, as he mocked the words of the Sages. The Gemara comments: Come and see the difference between the sinners of Israel and the prophets of the nations of the world. As Balaam, who was a prophet, wished Israel harm, whereas Jesus the Nazarene, who was a Jewish sinner, sought their well-being.”
So, if you are a Zionist, ask yourself; “Why should I support the existence of a state for the Jewish people, when Jews themselves hate the Messiah and God as the Trinity?” If your answer is; “Well like Christians, Jews don’t follow all of their liturgies completely”, and whilst yes there are Jews that don’t express the amount of disgust for the Christian faith as the Talmud, they are essentially in a minority.
