North Carolina Democrat Tricia Cotham is now a Republican: “The modern day Democratic Party has become unrecognizable to me… If you don’t do exactly what the Democrats want you to do, they will try to bully you. They will try to cast you aside.”

This is a great day for our North Carolina citizens and the North Carolina Republican Party,
As your NCGOP Vice Chairwoman, I want to welcome Representative Tricia Cotham as the newest member of our NCGOP House Republican Caucus.
Tricia has years of experience in and out of the legislature representing parts of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County as a Democrat.
Yes, let that last part sink in. She has been a Democrat up until now – it’s not a typo.
Today, as the Democrat party has moved to the extreme left and abandoned her and the values of the voters in her district, Tricia has switched parties – both for the good of those she represents and for her conscious.
I applaud Representative Cotham for this courageous leap of faith to our party. Us Republicans stand for integrity, family values, constitutional rights, and faithful constituent representation.
Representative Cotham has my full faith and backing in her switch.
And as a leader in our party, I will work with her to be successful in her representation of her district as a Republican!

Tricia Cotham is a firm advocate for the Trans community, abortions, and expanding Government control and influence in our lives.
Was she targeted by the NCGOP to flip just to create a republican majority? Yes, yes she was. The question now will be how will this play out short term with the bills the house and the senate pass as well as what are the long term implications with getting into bed with someone who doesn’t hold conservative party values and Christian values?
What God does Tricia follow?
There are many questions that need answers to this new republican in name only right now. Christians need to Trust, but Verify. Right now, Tricia has not verified her Republican party status. Keep your eyes peeled.
